Take a Step Back

What's good boys?  This week was freaking the best week of the mission so far.  We are starting to find people to teach and the work is getting faster. The days are 300 times better when we have lessons and are not contacting all day. I taught a really dope lesson on the Plan of Salvation to this kid who's 13!!! We taught it all in English because the kid wants to learn more English.  We asked him where he learned English and you won't believe it. hahaah He said Fortnite!!!! So... video games are really good for you! hahahaha We were teaching him and he had so many good questions and was just killing it. At the end, he said that the gospel and going to church was making him happy and this was the happiest he had been in his whole life.  He also said he wants so serve a mission and help people in the States learn Spanish. When we were done, he said that he really could feel that we loved him and that the holy ghost was telling him that this was his time and the time to get baptized. He accepted the baptism date!!! So yeah, this week has been awesome. We are also teaching another guy and he thought I was some pro rapper like Eminem or Slim Shady. hahahah I loved it -- so I rapped some of Eminem music for him.  He was laughing so hard! Eminem the rap god teaching about the real god here in Chile! Thanks em love you bro!

I have been meditating everyday this week.   Last week I called one of my best friends and told him I was over the mission.  He told me to try meditating everyday and see if it would help me with my attitude.  Man it has changed everything!!! It's important sometimes in life to take a step back and see how good your life has been and see how much good you can do and help people out.  My challenge this week is to try meditating for 5 minutes one day and see if it makes your day better!

We move really fast and sometimes it's important to take a step back and realize how cool and dope life is --- even if it just the flowers today or how good the mountains look when you wake up!

Attitude is everything!  Today was awesome! I played soccer and was able to see Elder Chase Ebeling!  So great!   This week was really good. It is frustrating you can't go knock on doors to talk to people and yelling through the gates gets old.  We kept at it all week and were able to talk to a man who was interested in reading the Book of Mormon and also talked to another man on the bus.   The man on the bus knew very little about missionaries other than we were nice to everyone. He wanted to read the Book of Mormon so we gave him one and referred him to missionaries in his area. We had a baptism on Saturday for this dope 13 year old boy who already knows so much about the church.  I confirmed him on Sunday in Sacrament Meeting in my broken Spanish.  He was so happy and understood what I said so it all worked out.   I kept thinking this week about the time that our family took food and supplies to the African refuge...

Hump Day and Liv's Birthday!

This last year has been crazy with some of the best moments of my life and some of the hardest / worst moments of my life!  Here's what I have learned this past year: God answers prayers! If we read, pray, listen to the holy ghost, and write down our feelings, God will answer our prayers! The gospel brings joy and happiness in our lives. The Book of Mormon is true and blesses our lives! I've read the Book of Mormon twice since I've been out here on my mission. It's so much more fun and easier to read than the New Testament and the Old Testament. The Book of Mormon keeps the doctrine so simple and makes it so everyone can understand it!  Joseph Smith was a true prophet! I have had the chance over the past year to teach a lot of Lesson 1 which is the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ! Loving it ...

My companion and I taught Priesthood this week.  We taught from the book Christ's Ideals for Living on the attributes of Christ.  That book is awesome.  We taught about 65 elders and it went well I think.  My companion was sick this past week and I was able to give him a blessing. He got feeling better the next day.  It was super dope. I love Alma 38.  If you get a chance go read it and replace the name son with your name.   It's the best. I am loving it here.  I love the Mexican people, the noises at night - haha - gun shots, fireworks and dogs barking all the time.  There is nothing better!  I only have about 3 weeks left here.  It is going fast.   Below is a picture of me with the head chef Estabon.  He is such a freaking bro!   #godsarmyletsgo Elder Seager
