1 year since XXXTentacion (music artist) died

The 18th of June was the one year mark for my boy XXX! I loved that man and he helped and changed my life so much! If you guys knew me before the mission I would listen to this man 24 9. He was a great artist and died at such an early age! His songs helped me become a better person! RIP buddy. I hope you're kicking it with JC right now.
This week was a good first full week with my new comp Elder Paderes. We are just grinding! We are finding more people now than with my other comp and using our time better! I am learning how to contact and speak better Spanish because I have to speak Spanish with this man! He's is from Colombia and loves soccer! So we get along great! It just sucks though because his mission ends in 4 weeks. I think we will get a lot done in this change! He was zone leader for 8 changes before me so he is teaching me a lot and making me a better missionary! 
I thought going halfway across the world would get me away from judgmental people but no I have determined everywhere in this world there will be people judging so i'm ok with it and i'm just going to keep doing me and going to work! 
This week we found the most new people in my mission and Elder Paderes mission. He says he likes working with me because I like finding new people to teach. LOL I'm not very good at teaching yet, but i'm really good at finding new people to teach ---so I find and he teaches and it works out great! I still teach a little! 
We were able to help this lady with service this week as well cutting her lawn and helping her clean up her lawn! 
Not going to lie, the more I work in the mission the better it is!

Attitude is everything!  Today was awesome! I played soccer and was able to see Elder Chase Ebeling!  So great!   This week was really good. It is frustrating you can't go knock on doors to talk to people and yelling through the gates gets old.  We kept at it all week and were able to talk to a man who was interested in reading the Book of Mormon and also talked to another man on the bus.   The man on the bus knew very little about missionaries other than we were nice to everyone. He wanted to read the Book of Mormon so we gave him one and referred him to missionaries in his area. We had a baptism on Saturday for this dope 13 year old boy who already knows so much about the church.  I confirmed him on Sunday in Sacrament Meeting in my broken Spanish.  He was so happy and understood what I said so it all worked out.   I kept thinking this week about the time that our family took food and supplies to the African refuge...

Hump Day and Liv's Birthday!

This last year has been crazy with some of the best moments of my life and some of the hardest / worst moments of my life!  Here's what I have learned this past year: God answers prayers! If we read, pray, listen to the holy ghost, and write down our feelings, God will answer our prayers! The gospel brings joy and happiness in our lives. The Book of Mormon is true and blesses our lives! I've read the Book of Mormon twice since I've been out here on my mission. It's so much more fun and easier to read than the New Testament and the Old Testament. The Book of Mormon keeps the doctrine so simple and makes it so everyone can understand it!  Joseph Smith was a true prophet! I have had the chance over the past year to teach a lot of Lesson 1 which is the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ! Loving it ...

My companion and I taught Priesthood this week.  We taught from the book Christ's Ideals for Living on the attributes of Christ.  That book is awesome.  We taught about 65 elders and it went well I think.  My companion was sick this past week and I was able to give him a blessing. He got feeling better the next day.  It was super dope. I love Alma 38.  If you get a chance go read it and replace the name son with your name.   It's the best. I am loving it here.  I love the Mexican people, the noises at night - haha - gun shots, fireworks and dogs barking all the time.  There is nothing better!  I only have about 3 weeks left here.  It is going fast.   Below is a picture of me with the head chef Estabon.  He is such a freaking bro!   #godsarmyletsgo Elder Seager
