Drunk Guy
Yew what up boys! How's life back in the States? I miss that place so freaking much! I just want to give a huge shout out to the military and our veterans out there who have served our country. They are bad a$$ and ! will forever be thankful to them for protecting America and keeping it so sexy! I hope my family is having fun in Lake Powell this week while I'm out here in Chile with dogs trying to bite me and stepping in dog poop on the side walk 24-9. hahahah
This week was a banger! We had so many lessons with recent converts and less active people in the ward. We also went to the temple with two recent converts to do baptisms for the dead -so that was cool to see them get pitted for their ancestors!
I was meditating the other day and remembered how the boys and I would have the best talks ever on the ski chair lifts. I miss those 10 minute talks with some of my best friends that I trust with all my life....then to go rip the freaking shizzzz out of some deep pow pow baby! I can't wait to get back on the chairlift and talk to the boys!
The people and culture here are kind of crazy. I don't really mess with it too much. They don't treat their wife's that well and they discriminate against black people and people from Venezuela. It pisses me off because the black people and the Venezuelans work three times harder than the Chileans! Another weird thing they do here is with funeral processions. They drive in a line honking their horns and never break from the line. If there is a red light they just go through it. One thing I do like is their families are very close. They all love there families very much! This next Monday we have changes, so I'm getting excited for that. I think I will get a new companion because my companion has been here for six months and I have been with him for three. I bet I'll get a new companion and I am hoping for a Latino so my Spanish will get better! I am always trying to stay out of my comfort zone and learn and more pursue more in life!
We also had interviews with our Mission President yesterday. That was fun and he gave me so much good advice. He's so dope. I love that man. He said if you have a problem with your companion tell him so he can try and fix it and he will recognize the problem as well and then you both can work better together
This week we taught a guy that we have been trying to help for three months with the word of wisdom. He was drunk with his buddy during the lesson.and all they wanted to talk about was how cool Morgan Freeman is. hahaha It was funny, but then I said we had to leave because we had another lesson that night and he got really pissed off like angry drunk. We went to shake his hand and he went to square up on me and my companion. We just started laughing and left. Tomorrow we are going to call him and see if he remembers anything and go teach him again and help him with his drinking problem.
We also found a guy to teach from NY who is originally from Venezuela. He has just opened up a New York Pizza Shop in his house so he gave us some pizza and we helped him make some. He is really funny. I love him! His name is Polly. Such a good guy! He loves us because we are the only people in Chile that he knows that speak English. So, I think we will start buying pizza a lot now! hahaha It is so good!
Favorite quote of the week:
Walt Disney - Here is the world of imagination, hopes and dreams. in this timeless land of enchantment, the age of chivalry, magic and make-believe are reborn - and fairy tales come true. Fantasyland is dedicated to the young-in-heart, to those who that when you wish upon a star, your dreams come true
Yew hope you guys are having a good week! :Love you guys more than you think! I just hit 4 months in the mission which is crazy!!!
