YEW

This week was dope!  I had a great week and it rained here a freak ton! It was awesome!!!! Also, Elder Layton and I were walking and this transformer blew up right in front of us.  It was scary and loud and the sparks went everywhere!

We had a lesson with a man that we hadn't seen for 3 months.  It was crazy and he was smoking pot right in front of us.  It was ok because we hadn't seen this guy in like 3 months and we thought he killed himself so we were just happy to see him hahah! My comp was a little scared, but I calmed him down!

On Wednesday we had the Area  President for all of South America come and talk to us.  His name is Elder De Hoyos.  He is super cool and from Mexico! He talked a lot about how to better contact people in the streets and find people to teach!

I had a crazy family home evening with a non member that we have been teaching for 3 weeks and his buddy who is less active! It was at this crazy old lady's home and she starting talking about how she wanted to become a nun.

I went to a meeting for all the missionaries like me finishing up their training! I was able to see Elder Norwood my comp from the MTC which was a good stress reliever.  The mission kind of really sucks in that way. hahaha There's almost no way to relieve your stress.  You can't just go ski Mount Superior or go get pitted in Montana with your buddy's on the Madison river, so it really sucks! You're stuck 24-9 talking about the gospel and sometimes it gets overwhelming.
It's cool to see the investigators progress and pray! The other day one of our best investigators prayed to know the truth of prophets and he almost started crying.  He asked if being a Mason is bad - I have no idea so I'm asking you guys.  It sounds kinda cool to me.  He told me that Obama was one and if you guys know me you know that my dad and I love Obama so - I'm really curious about these people and what they do.  I think Joseph Smith was a Mason!

On Monday we had a lesson with a new investigator and she said we are leading by example and that our words are not nearly as powerful as our example. I loved that! She said we are a light in the rainy dark nights!

I'm starting to understand Spanish more and more, but man it's really hard to speak it.  I can't wait until I can just speak it and not have to think about anything!

I have some advice for the homies back home thinking about a mission! Make sure you think really hard about going because a mission is hard.  I'm not going to lie, it sucks more than half the time, but then there is like one to two times a day when it feels so good!!!!  Even though I'm stuck with some random bro 24-9, I don't regret it!

Have a great week!
