La power de un testimonio

The power of a testimony is something crazy! This week was way good! On Sunday we had one of our investigators at church and she loved it and loved the new Come Follow Me program. Earlier we had given her a baptism date of September 7, but she decided to wait until December.  The coolest thing happened after church, she told us she wanted to be more obedient and follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized. We had a lesson with her after church and a recent convert joined us. The crazy thing about the convert was that it wasn't even his ward or stake and he felt lost in Santiago so he went to the church that was closest to his house.  The convert's testimony on baptism was so powerful.  It made our investigator want to get baptized really badly so she has a new date of September 21.  She's pumped and now is studying the Come Follow Me book the church has for us!  It is crazy that God knows each of us and knew that she needed to hear the testimony of the recent convert.  How amazing is that that he came to our ward and stayed to share his testimony with our investigator.  Tiny miracles ....

We've been playing soccer on Saturday nights with some boys in the area to give them a good activity to do and get interested in the church. It's one of the best ways I think to find people and be able to talk to them while we play soccer. One of the members of the other ward called my Mission Pres and told him we were wasting time and tried to get us in trouble. Didn't work out so well for him since my Mission Pres came and talked to us and understood what we were doing and why.  It's all good but annoying he would go to him instead of just talking to us.

The Book of Mormon is some crazy stuff guys! We have so many people reading it right now and they love it. They say it's easy to read and they like to listen to it on their phone, so it's awesome! Every time I read it, I feel the Spirit so strong and I love it. It makes my day better and I feel more peace in my day and more power to teach. I would love it if you guys have time this week to try and read this chapter, 3 Nephi 11.  It's about Jesus Christ coming to the Americas to teach his people about his gospel.

It is kind of crazy how successful we are becoming in this area.  When I got here, we couldn't find anyone to teach and now this is one of the best areas in the mission.  I think God is preparing the people to listen to us. The other day, I was walking down the street and a man asked for a Book of Mormon. The cool thing about this homie is that he knows where to fish and loves trout, so he's my new best friend!  hahaha.  I bought a suit coat here for $15 .  It's legendary! My comp from Argentina is a bro!  All is good.  Love you guys.  Thanks for the prayers and everything.  I love my zone, but the sad thing is I will get changes in a week since I have been in this area for 6 months.  We will see what happens boys!
